I love doing daring things like mountain biking, bungee jumping and skydiving. While that is an awesome way to get an adrenaline rush, it makes my family frightened that something will happen to me. I understand where they are coming from, yet I refuse to keep my feet on solid ground for far too long. Recently, I decided to take out an insurance policy (thanks to Life Shield HQ) in the event that something happens to me while I am out there acting crazy. The last thing I want is to have my family lost and trying to figure out how to cover funeral costs.
I talked to my dad about this over the weekend and it seems like he really upset about the fact that I want to get a policy while I am still fairly young. While I understand what he is saying on one note, it is weird that he wants to continue having me risking my life out there without considering what will happen if I was to have a tragic accident of some sort. I think I will just go ahead and get the policy. It is far better to be safe than to be sorry.
